Board of Directors

QHSC Board members are driven by a Godly love to serve globally.

CEO/President/Founder Dr. Harrieth Gabone

QHSC is a very consuming blessing. As a teenager, I wanted to help find solutions, making life better for others. That concept propelled me into Nursing, Education, and now a Global Servant. A role, fully comprehended once experienced; growing with community demands, the emerging world; and those we serve. The job is engaging, stimulating, risky, and provides ongoing excitement; demanding time, effort, energy, and more. In short, it’s an amazing adventure! My heart is full, as I serve God’s people.

Director: Victoria Jones, MA, BA

I volunteered with various service groups for years, never realizing the major impact that it has over time. I became a volunteer with QHSC because I believe that volunteerism and servant leadership are closely connected as they prioritize service to others over personal gain. With a service-oriented, mindset, empathy, and compassion, as well as community building, and showing a commitment to the growth of those that I am serving, QHSC allows me to do both !!

Advisor/Prayer Warrior: Steve Jones, BA, USAR Ret.

Volunteering stems from a deep desire to make a difference in the lives of others. I believe that everyone deserves access to quality healthcare and education, regardless of circumstances. Learning about the challenges in Tanzania, I I had to take action. I was struck by the resilience of the people I met. Despite challenges, they remained committed to creating a better future for themselves and their families. Their perseverance inspired me to continue serving them in any way that I could.

Director: Shavon Rodney, RN, BSN

Leading a nonprofit organization is the most fulfilling extensions of who I am—both as an RN and a Wedding & Event Planner. Nursing teaches compassion, attention to detail, and advocacy during vulnerable times. Central to my leadership is hospitality—the ability to anticipate needs, and create an environment where people feel supported, and valued. Whether caring for patients, designing a once-in-a-lifetime celebration, or serving those in need, my mission is to make a lasting impact through service. Giving back allows me to use my skills beyond business.

True luxury isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about how you make people feel.

Director: Valentine Dantes, RN, BSN

When I was younger, I knew I wanted to serve others around me and beyond my reach. As a member of Dr. Gabone QHSC, I have opportunities to give back to my community and extend a helping hand beyond the US. It is a blessing to share knowledge, love, our passion, and resources to encourage healthier & happier communities.

Director: Rukiyah Brown, BS Human Sercives

Dear God… Touch the people around me, keep them happy and safe. Give them love, compassion and care… Bless them all with good health, peace in mind and kindness in their heart. Especially the one reading this message.

I’ve always wanted to be a nurse. My goal in life is to make a positive difference in the world, no matter how small. I’ve had the privilege of going on three medical missions with QHSC, and each year, I’m not only inspired by the impact we make in Tanzania, but also by how much the community impacts us. QHSC motivates me to grow in nursing knowledge, more importantly, it teaches the value of compassion and understanding. I’m truly grateful for these opportunities.
